Easy Homemade Oven-Roasted Garlic

Oven-roasted garlic is one of the best and easiest homemade condiments you can make. Here is an easy recipe that you can make in just 3 steps.

Equipment

  • Aluminum Paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bulb of garlic peeled
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400F.
  • In a sheet of aluminum, place your garlic cloves with a drizzle of olive oil and salt.
  • Close up the foil to form a pouch. Not too tight, the extra air will allow the cloves to roast evenly.
  • Place the pouch on a sheet pan and into the oven for 45 minutes.
  • You will know when the cloves are read when they are caramelized brown and tender.
  • Let them cool completely.
  • You may store them in an air-tight container or blend all the cloves up in a food processor to create a spread.

Notes

Instead of using a whole head of garlic cut in half, I prefer to use peeled garlic cloves when making roasted garlic. This allows you to ensure there will be no shells or peels in the end result.
