  • Start by preparing the caramelized onions. See Easy And Decadent Caramelized Onions Recipe Here <<<
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and black pepper. Gently mix the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Do not add salt yet.
  • Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty, ensuring the patties are slightly larger than the size of the hamburger buns since they will shrink during cooking. Sprinkle a generous amount of salt to both sides.
  • Preheat a grill or cast iron over medium-high heat. Place the hamburger patties on the grill or cast iron and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.
  • While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown.
  • Half through the cooking process, add the cheese and caramelized onions to the top of the patty.
  • Once the patties are cooked to your liking and the cheese has melted, remove them from the grill or cast iron and let them rest for a couple of minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a juicy burger.
  • To assemble the hamburgers, spread a spoonful of the aioli on the bottom half of each bun with lettuce leaves of your choice. Place the cooked patty on top of the greens. Add optional tomato slices and pickle slices if desired. Finish by covering the burger with the top half of the bun.
